Australia were all out for 286 after being brought into bat, with Marnus Labuschagne top scoring with 71.
Jos Buttler asked Liam Livingstone to bowl 44 overs. After scoring points with the first ball, Stoinis attacked the all-rounder, aiming for boundaries and hitting sixes on the second and third balls of the over.
Livingstone bowled the fourth ball flat into the net. Stonis tried to pull, but he did not reach the desired height. Bairstow patrolled the middle of the wicket, following the trajectory of the incoming ball, bouncing and taking a catch from the air. Livingston seemed satisfied after avenging his two blows.
Stoinis ran away with 35 (32), hitting three fours and two sixes.
