Watch: Jake Fraser-McGurk Launches Three Sixes In An Over After Alzarri Joseph Verbal Barrage | AUS Vs WI

Watch: In the third AUS vs WI ODI, Jake Fraser-McGurk responded to Alzarri Joseph’s words with three sixes in the next over.

Australia handed Jake Fraser-McGurk his first cap in the second ODI after taking the lead in three consecutive matches. Fraser-McGuirk made aunique debut. He hit twice, hitting a four and a six, and dropped the fifth ball. It was an over from Alzarri Joseph all the same.

The duel between Joseph and Fraser McGuirk has been extended into the third ODI at Canberra’s Manuka Oval. West Indies, called to bat, were bowled out for 86 by Xavier Bartlett (4-21), Lance Morris (2-13) and Adam Zampa (2-14). With the exception of Arik Athanadze (32 years old), no one was older than 12 years.

Fraser McGuirk started the batting and hit successive balls over the offside, chasing Joseph for four in the third over. Joseph responded with a 90mph bounce, but Fraser McGuirk missed it and, like a typical fast bowler, stood up and said a few words.

Fraser McGuirk struck out Matthew Ford in the next over. He hit his six over midwicket, and off the next ball he bowled a leg ball and he was on four, then two consecutive overs of his six over midwicket.

He kept the strike and dismissed the first two balls of Joseph’s next over of four. But it was Joseph who had the last laugh when Fraser McGuirk caught the next ball, resulting in him making an 18-ball 41.

Oshane Thomas then caught Aaron Hardy, but Australia won the series 3-0 using just 2 wickets and 6.5 overs. The entire game was 31 overs.

Fraser McGuirk hit six fours and four sixes off 23 balls in two ODIs, giving him a strike rate of 222.
