Watch: Dhruv Jurel Pulls Off ‘Extraordinary’ Sprint And Gather To Run Out Ben Duckett

Watch: India wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel sprinted and gathered the ball brilliantly to run out Ben Duckett on day four (February 18) of the third Test against England in Rajkot.

India took an insurmountable lead of 556 runs at 430-4 in the second innings, breakingseveral world records, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 236-ball 214 not out . Chasing a steep target, England lost in-form opener Ben Duckett for four thanks to the great athleticism of debutant Dhruv Jurel behind the wicket.

After getting an inside lead with Jasprit Bumrah in the seventh over of England’s innings, Duckett went for a single, but partner Zak Crawley seemed uninterested. Mohamed Siraj went into cover and intercepted the ball from the inside circle, firing a throw to Jurrell. Jurrell anticipated the throw and caught it, pushing it off the stumps with a fluid motion, but Duckett missed the crease by a mile.

Jurrell was congratulated by his team-mates for his fine performance when a run-out caused a collapse and England were defeated by 122 runs at the end of the day’s play. As a result, India took a 2-1 lead from him with his two matches remaining.
