Watch: ‘Almost Unplayable’ – Shardul Thakur Nicks Off Mohammad Rizwan Immediately After Rain Delay

Watch: Shardul Thakur bowled an almost unplayable delivery to Mohammad Rizwan in the first over back after the rain delay in the India v Pakistan Asia Cup clash today (September 11).

During Pakistan’s chase, the scheduled match day was almost canceled and the match was delayed by almost an hour. After a great partnership between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, Pakistan reached 44-2 from 11 overs before the rain started. Rizwan had to face just two balls before the break as he came on in place of Babar Azam, who was dismissed by Hardik Pandya at the start of the over.

Once they returned, Thakur wasted no time and picked up where India had left off.

Thakur bowled the first over of the innings and Rizwan had to face the first ball for a point. Next he got a wide and a few singles off two normal balls and Rizwan hit again on his fourth ball of the over and had to face a beautiful situation.

The ball landed on the fourth stump line and stayed on course without swinging back. Rizwan played on the wrong line and tried to stuff the ball off his pads to the leg side. Instead, he received only a very weak cross and the ball went flying behind the spot where Rahul was waiting with his glove.

The wicket reduced Pakistan to 47-3 and brought Agha Salman to the crease with partner Fakhar Zaman.
