Virat Kohli wary of Pakistan’s bowling ahead of Asia Cup

Ahead of the 2023 Asian Cup match between India and Pakistan, Virat Kohli talks about the daunting challenge of Pakistan’s bowling raid.

Kori said Pakistan’s strength lies in its bowling team. The Indian right-handed hitter admitted his players need to do their best in their fight against Pakistani bowlers.

“I think bowling is her specialty, and they have some incredibly important bowlers who, depending on their skill, can turn the tide of the game at any moment. So stand up to them.” We have to do everything we can to help,” Kohli said.

Kohli remains a coveted wicket for Pakistan, who are looking to gain an early edge over India in the competition. Kohli’s impressive performance in the ODI with Pakistan underscores his importance in the lineup. He averaged 48.73 in 13 games, had 536 carries, and showed skill in their bowling offense.

A standout moment in Kohli’s ODI career came at the 2012 Asian Cup. He pitched his 183 innings to win over Pakistan and led India to a come-from-behind success with 330. This remarkable performance confirms his ability to thrive under pressure, especially against his nemesis.

Pakistan all-rounder Shadav Khan praised Virat Kohli’s outstanding skill. Khan bowled in front of Kohli and emphasized the importance of careful planning and strategy.

“He’s definitely a world-class player. It takes a lot of planning to play against him. But in international cricket, it’s obvious that you have the ability to reach that level, so the psychological warfare.” There are many, but it depends on the situation, bowlers and hitters, how they read each other’s minds,” Khan said.

Khan also recalled a memorable matchup between India and Pakistan at the 2022 T20 World Cup, where it was Kohli’s punch that gave India victory from unexpected circumstances.

“What a hitter Virat Kohli is and the way he has played against us, I don’t think any hitter in the world has done that to our bowling lineup, even in the last World Championship game.” The best thing is that he can do it anytime, at any stage,” Khan added.

The former Indian captain helped India to a four-wicket victory over Pakistan at the MCG. Leading 31-4, the Men in Blue chased 160 points until Kohli’s 82-game unbeaten streak came to an astonishing victory.
