India got off to an ideal start with a bowling invitation from Australia. Australia’s opening duo, Marsh and Warner, made a cautious start. Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj, who took over the new ball for the hosts, bowled some great tracks.
At the 2.2 over mark, Bumrah bowled a quick inswinger and hit a good length ball. Marsh played the ball with heavy hands, trying to direct the ball into the third man area. The ball occupied the outside edge of the bat and Kohli did the rest of the work. At the first slip, India’s number three stood up and with cat-like reflexes threw his body to the left. His leap of faith allowed him to safely pack his deliveries while in the air. The next moment he landed on his shoulder and sent Marsh to go catch a duck.
