Victor Boniface is the third player after Paco Alcacer and Erling Haaland to contribute six goals in the first three Bundesliga games.

Bayer Leverkusen have attacked former Tottenham striker and current Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane on social media, sparking a dispute between the English player and Victor Boniface for the league’s top scorer award. It is reported on Soccer Net NG that this is expected.

The two newcomers to the Bundesliga were expected to have a fierce battle for the top scorer spot this season.

Kane moved to Bayern Munich last month for a fee of around £100m, while Boniface moved from Belgian professional league side Royal Saint Giriou to Leverkusen for one-fifth of the fee.

These two top strikers went head-to-head last Friday between the first two leaders of the new Bundesliga season. With the score tied 2-2, it was Kane who took the lead, but Boniface fired a blank. .

After four rounds of play, Kane and Boniface have scored four goals each, but the Nigerian striker has provided more assists with two to the Englishman’s one.

Leverkusen has 3 wins and 1 draw against Bayern after the fourth round, and they still have a lead over Bayern in terms of goal difference.
