According to Soccernet.ng, Bayer Leverkusen star Victor Boniface has secured his nomination as one of the most talented players in the current Bundesliga 2023/24 season.
After joining from Union SG in July last year, the Super Eagles striker wasted no time making an impact under the leadership of coach Xabi Alonso.
Boniface’s first breakthrough in Germany was simply impressive, scoring 10 goals in 16 league games.
However, his promising run came to an abrupt end with a groin injury, forcing him to miss the 2024 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Despite his recent injury setbacks, the striker’s impressive achievements have gone unnoticed.
Attention will be focused on a special display of individual brilliance in the Bundesliga match between Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, to be held at the Bay Arena in August 2023.
In this match, Boniface made a cunning feint that fooled observers into expecting him to shoot with his right foot, but he ended up deftly passing the ball with his left foot. Although he did not score, Leverkusen won 3-2.
Boniface focuses on skills with four other notable players: Andrej Kramaric, Jadon Sancho, Felix Nmeka and Xavi Simons.

At the time of writing, Jadon Sancho leads the polls with a whopping 75% of the vote. Xavi Simons secures second place with 17%, while Boniface currently holds 5%. Hoffenheim’s Kramaric and Dortmund’s Nmeka are behind with 1% and 2% of the votes respectively.
