BAN vs NZ, 3rd ODI: Team news

The third ODI of the Bangladesh vs New Zealand series will be the last international match for both teams before the 2023 ODI World Cup. Both teams will be without many of their regular players, including those who will be playing in the World Cup, but they will still want to start the tournament with a win.

The biggest positive for Bangladesh in the two matches played so far in this series has been Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling, which seemed to lack rhythm before the series. Tamim Iqbal returned and scored a few runs (44 to be exact) in his second ODI as well.

New Zealand won the second ODI outright, with the entire middle order contributing. Tom Blundell opened the scoring with 68 off 66 balls and Ish Sodhi was the star of the show, scoring a vital 35 points for the No. 8 and finishing with career best results of 6 wins and 39 losses. New Zealand will be hoping for the same in the third and final game of the series.

Match prediction – Today’s Bangladesh-New Zealand live match

New Zealand defeated Bangladesh in the second ODI of the series, their first win since Mirpur in 2011. The absence of several regular players seems to have affected Bangladesh more than New Zealand. However, Bangladesh has lost only three of her 17 ODI series at home and will not go down without a fight.
