Bangladesh will continue with the same eleven from the previous match consisting of returning players Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah and Nurul Hasan. Litton Das organized his squad well in the first match and led the team in place of regular captain Shakib Al Hasan, who was rested for the series. The tourist count was reduced to 136-5 before rain spoiled the game.
Mustafizur Rahman was once a key part of the pace attack, but as his bowling rapidly revived under Alan Donald, he fell significantly down the order. He showed off his skills in the opening game with a record of 7-27-3.
Amidst the disappointing batting performance, a few tourists shined in the willow. Will Young top-scored with a speckled 58 (91) points, while Henry Nichols contributed with 44 (57). But the Kiwis could not escape the clutches of their hosts. Unless there is an injury threat, they are scheduled to play the same team.

Bangladesh and its happy hunting ground Mirpur are a match made in heaven. Despite looking rusty after the Super Fours’ disappointing performance in the 2023 Asia Cup, the bowlers managed to score against Lockie Ferguson’s side in the final match.
The key to New Zealand’s success will be how they cope with slower bowlers on the quiet, low wickets of Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. They hope to end his 13th consecutive losing streak against the Tigers on the road. In 2010 he lost 4-0 and in 2013 he lost 3-0.
The 2nd ODI is expected to be an exciting contest with Bangladesh in a narrow lead.
