United Arab Emirates will face Afghanistan in a T20I series at home from December 29. Here’s everything you need to know about the schedule of the UAE vs AFG T20Is, including the full fixtures list, match timings and venues.
The first match of the three-match T20I series will be played on December 29, 2023, followed by the second match on December 31, 2023, after which both teams will play on January 2, 2024. We will face each other again in the final. All matches will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, which is operated by the Emirates Cricket Board.
The United Arab Emirates will host Afghanistan for the second time this year in the shortest format. In February, Afghanistan won the first T20I with Karim Jannat’s 53 (38) before UAE defeated the visitors in the second T20I with a nine-wicket comprehensive win with Mohammad Waseem’s 91 (50). It shocked me. Afghanistan held their own in his last T20I but Jannat came to the rescue again with his unbeaten 56 off 22 deliveries to win the series 2-1.
As a prelude to the main series, each team will play two 50-over practice matches on December 25th and 27th. In these warm-up matches, Hashmatullah Shahidi will be Afghanistan’s captain while Waseem Muhammad will lead the host team.
