On Wednesday, Tanzania showed their dominance on the pitch with an impressive 7-0 win away to Djibouti in the second leg of their qualifying campaign.
This victory, combined with a 5-0 win in Wednesday’s first leg, made the total score a commanding 12-0.
Dhamila Rajab, who had already scored two goals in the first leg, continued her impressive performance against Djibouti, scoring twice against Tanzania.
Winifrieda Gerrard, who scored in the first leg, repeated her performance by scoring twice.
Jacinta Joseph, who scored in the first match, followed the earlier contributions of Diana Nalley and Zainab Ali, sealing the overall victory with the final goal.
Twiga Stars have traded tackles with Nigeria’s Falconets for a place in the fourth round of the U20 World Cup qualifiers.
The upcoming third-round qualifier between Nigeria and Tanzania is scheduled for November 10-12, 2023.
