Nigeria’s goalkeeper denied Cagliari at least eight chances to score the winning goal in the Copa Italia match, but a last-minute goal eliminated the team.

Despite the loss, Okoye played a great game and was happy to finally get his chance.

“It was disappointing, but I think I have developed a good mentality, attack and pattern these days.” I am grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to play. I will learn from this experience. It’s been a while since I saw the pitch, but I would like to thank all the fans as well. I think it will be fun to play in this jersey,” he said on the club’s official website.

Okoye also expressed his disappointment with the result, which means Udinese’s trip to the cup is over.

“I think we worked hard. Some of us have been waiting for this moment for a long time. We played the game and wanted to win, but we conceded a goal at the last minute. “It’s difficult to finish like this because we lost. We were prepared for a penalty shootout, but unfortunately we couldn’t score,” added the goalkeeper.

The goalkeeper hopes to have more opportunities to demonstrate his skills and regain his place in Francis Uzoho’s national team.
