Steiner says nothing is happening right now with CBS show

Günther Steiner said that the CBS show he was asked to produce was being discussed and that he had no new information.

A few weeks ago, Deadline reported that CBS would be airing a comedy show featuring Haas F1 manager Steiner. Considering his popularity has increased since appearing on Netflix’s Drive to Survive, the Italian has explored different avenues.

He has also written a book and is open to other jobs in addition to his main role with the F1 team. It appeared that he would appear on the CBS show, but Steiner revealed that he had only been approached as a producer and nothing else.

However, there has been no progress regarding the start date or completion of filming for the program. Steiner made it clear that after initial discussions, there is nothing left at this time. “I spoke to CBS, but nothing happened. I’m just a producer if something happens,” the Haas F1 boss said.

“At this point, I talked to them a few months ago about what was done, but there’s nothing at this point.” I don’t think there’s a writer or anything. I think they are trying to do something, but nothing is happening at the moment. I don’t know anything about the premise of the show. The author creates the concept.

“As I said, I’m just a producer. I’ll take a concept that’s proposed to me and go from there.” And I don’t know [if the show is based on me]. The writer creates a concept and they say, “Would you like to be the producer of this?” That’s it. But nothing is being done at the moment,” Steiner summarized.

He still feels “weird” because of the popularity he gained from the show “Drive to Survive.” He claims he’s not chasing the writer and that he’s only had two conversations with him so far, and urges people to wait and see how it turns out.

“I don’t know,” he said. “You need to talk to CBS, not me. I’m not looking for an author. You know, they do all that. I’ve only actually had two conversations with them. , there was nothing more. Since they announced it, I’m sure you’ll find it interesting, so just wait.”
