Wow ! What an effort by the Dutch.
So much to like about the way they go about their business. Scott Edwards was sensational in the last 10 overs with the bat and then the Netherlands’ bowlers did the job in style. #NEDvsSA pic.twitter.com/kYpV0Rby0A– Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) 17. 2023 年 10 月

Former West Indies cricketer and commentator Ian Bishop insisted the victory was no fluke and urged caution among opponents.
“Two nights ago we were in Afghanistan, tonight we’re in the Netherlands.” Great piece by @KNCBcricket. This is also not an easy task. They prepare well, work hard and are led very well by Scott Edwards. The whole is more than the sum of its parts. And they’re not over yet,” Bishop wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Afghanistan two nights ago, Netherlands tonight. Outstanding from @KNCBcricket . This is no flash in the pan either. They prepare well, they work hard, and they are exceptionally well led by Scott Edwards. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. & they not done yet.

Journalist Alison Mitchell drew similarities between the Dutch excitement against South Africa on October 15th and Afghanistan’s excitement against England.
“A striking comparison is that the Netherlands is an associate member state, while Afghanistan enjoys full member state status and the full funding that comes with it (and obviously does nothing for women’s health. Ned disrupted the team’s form for the tournament as many players had other jobs. “Great effort,” Mitchell wrote on the social media site.
If comparing upsets, Netherlands are an Associate while Afghanistan enjoy Full Member status & the full funding that comes with it (and obv don’t spend any on women’s ckt). Ned have upset the form team of the tourn, with many players having other jobs. Great effort #NEDvSA #CWC23
