Shubman Gill Arrives In Ahmedabad Ahead Of India-Pakistan Match To Continue Dengue Recovery

Shubman Gill, still recovering from dengue, has arrived in Ahmedabad ahead of the India-Pakistan clash on October 14.

Gill was hospitalized after the first match between India and Australia in Chennai on October 8. He was under the supervision of a medical team and did not travel to Delhi, the venue for the second World Cup match between India and Afghanistan on October 11.

Ishan Kishan replaced Gill in the eleven for the first two matches. Kishan scored a golden duck in his memorable World Cup debut against Australia, while he came back strong with a run-a-ball 47 against Afghanistan in Delhi.

It is still unclear whether Gill will be available for the India vs Pakistan match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, but the fact that he has started accompanying the team is a step in the right direction. That suggests his return may not be far away.
