Sai Sudharsan all set to help Surrey defend their county championship title

Rising star Sai Sudarsan from Tamil Nadu and Gujarat Titans is looking to make a name for himself in county cricket. The left-handed hitter will join Surrey in the remaining three games. Known for his white-ball success, Sudarsan has scored nearly 600 runs in two centuries, scoring 50 in eight top-flight matches and averaging a commendable 42.71.

Saisudarsan’s impressive performances have shown his skills as he was selected to the India A Team for the Emerging Asia Cup 2023.

Alec Stewart, Surrey CCC’s director of cricket, acknowledged the demanding domestic and international cricket calendar and expressed satisfaction with Sai Sudarsan’s addition to the roster.

“Considering the busy schedules of international and domestic cricket around the world,” Surrey CCC Cricket Director Alec Stewart said in a press release.

“I am delighted to welcome Sai Sudarsan to our available roster. Including the greats of Indian football who have worked with us,” he continued.

The Surrey team has experienced an offensive setback with the absence of Will Jacks, Sam Curran, Tom Latham, Sean Abbott and Olly Pope. This gap in the batting team presents an opportunity for Sai Sudarsan.

“Sai will expand his hitter options for the final three games of the season, and we look forward to welcoming him into the dressing room,” Stewart concluded.

In the 2023 IPL, Sudarsan had 362 RBIs, a 51.71 average, and a 141.40 batting average. Emerging Asia He was equally impressive in his performances in his Cup, where he scored 220 runs, including 104 while he was unbeaten, scoring 73.33.
