SA20, South Africa’s highly anticipated premium franchise league cricket, is scheduled to be played from 10 January to 10 February 2024. Similar to last season, six teams – MI Cape Town, Joburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Pearl Royals, Durban Super Giants and Pretoria Capitals – will take part in a month-long competition for the Silver Cup .
The SA20 2024 auction took place on September 27, 2023, with franchises acquiring new cricketers to polish and strengthen their teams.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape were the defending champions after defeating runners-up Pretoria Capitals 4-31 in last year’s final thanks to Roelof van der Merwe’s ball possession. Eastern Cape captain Aiden McCrum was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 366 runs in addition to scalping 11 of his 10 matches with an economy rate of 6.19.
