South Africa will host India in three T20Is at Kingsmead in Durban (December 10), St George’s Park in Gkebela (December 12) and Wanderers in Johannesburg (December 14).
Both teams will also play three ODIs and two Test matches as part of the 2023-25 World Test Championship.
India won 4-1 at home against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav, who led the team in the absence of regular captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Hardik Pandya, was also appointed captain for this series. Ravindra Jadeja will be his deputy. Notable exclusions include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal.
South Africa left out Themba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada, who led the country in the 50-over World Cup. Anrich Nortje and Wayne Parnell are both recovering from injuries and have been left out of the squad. Otherwise, you can be proud of having a complete team.
India has won 13 T20Is and lost 10 against South Africa. On South African soil, the score is 5-2 in favor of India, but the last of these came in his 2017/18 season.
