Victor Osimhen, who left at the end of the victory over Braga, is in charge of Napoli and is supported by coach Rudi Garcia.
Napoli became the only Serie A team to win the UEFA Champions League this week. Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen assisted the opening goal in a great performance, heading the ball back to captain Di Lorenzo.
Osimhen had several chances to score, but Braga goalkeeper Matthäus kept the Nigerian striker empty net since the international break.
A spirited second-half performance by the home team saw Napoli in second place on the pitch, with Braga equalizing with six minutes remaining.
“We couldn’t double our lead today. In a game like this we should have protected ourselves from the possibility of a draw.” “After 1-1 we had already missed out once. We were lucky.” Garcia added.
The French tactician focused on the positives as the team performed better than in the weekend’s matches. He praised their efforts and acknowledged how difficult it is to win away.
“We scored a lot more goals tonight than in the last two games. It’s never easy to win away games in the Champions League, but we got the three points. Osimhen is in good form and proved it tonight. Kvaratskhelia is performing well but lacks a bit of racing pace.”
Napoli are on the road again this weekend to take on Bologna in Serie A, but their next Champions League game is at home to record champions Real Madrid.
