Red Bull Junior Sebastian Montoya will move to Campos Racing for the 2024 FIA F3 season and will stay there for another year.
Campos Racing is proud to announce Sebastian Montoya, completing the Spanish-based racing team’s driver line-up for the upcoming 2024 FIA F3 Championship season. Montoya, a Red Bull athlete, will compete in the team alongside Oliver Goethe and Mari Boja, forming an experimental combination of young international talent.
The son of former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya, Montoya was born in Miami (USA) and started karting in 2013 at the age of eight. The Colombian driver entered single-seater racing in 2020 after eight seasons in go-kart racing, where he had top-class success including winning the 2018 Rio Juniors in Korea. Montoya competed in several formula series including the Italian F4 Championship, the European Formula Regional Championship, and most recently he FIA Formula 3 Championship.
The Colombian racing driver made his debut with Campos Racing’s F3 racing team in 2022, scoring points in both races in Zandvoort. In addition, Montoya has also competed in some rounds of endurance events in the United States and Europe, proving that he is an all-rounder.
The new Campos Racing signing completed all three postseason tests with the Spanish national team, with Montoya doing a strong job heading into the 2024 season. Last but not least, Montoya has already competed in the Macau F3 Grand Prix under the Campos Racing banner.

“Macau didn’t give us the results we expected. But the potential is there and we just need to make the most of our chances. We know that our car is strong enough to score points regularly and we hope we can fight for podiums and wins.”
