Rajasthan Royals Playing 11 (RR Playing XI) & Royal Challengers Bengaluru Playing 11 (RCB Playing XI), IPL 2024, Match 19: Rajasthan Royals will be taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 19th game of the ongoing IPL 2024. The RR vs RCB game is scheduled to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday (April 6).
RR have made a strong start to their season. They have won their first three games and will be eyeing another win to extend their winning start. On the other hand, RCB have lost three of their first four games and will be desperate to get back to winning ways. So ahead of the game, we are taking a look at the probable playing elevens of both the teams.
RR Playing XI:
Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler are yet to fire for RR in the ongoing season. With things going well so far, their form might not have worried the team management much but RR would be hoping that their star batters return to form in the upcoming game.
Middle-order batters and allrounders: Sanju Samson (c & wk), Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin
Sanju Samson has also not really delivered with the bat after scoring the unbeaten 82 in the first game of the season. He was out for 12 in the last game and will be looking to lead from the very front. Riyan Parag continued his fine start to the season and scored his second consecutive fifty to lead RR to a win against MI.
Ravichandran Ashwin impressed with the bat as well, scoring 16 and sharing a crucial 40-run stand with Parag. The likes of Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer did not get the chance to bat in the last game.
Bowlers: Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Nandre Burger, Yuzvendra Chahal
Trent Boult had a stunning outing against MI. He dismissed Rohit Sharma, Naman Dhir and Dewald Brevis for golden ducks to blow his former team away. Nandre Burger also picked up two wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal and Avesh Khan claimed three and one wicket each.
RCB Playing XI:
Openers: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (c)
Virat Kohli scored 22 runs in the last game and will be looking to score big against RR. He is currently the leading run-scorer in IPL 2024. Faf du Plessis, on the other hand, has failed to convert his starts so far and will be desperate to score big.
Middle-order batters and allrounders: Will Jacks, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat (wk)
RCB could make one change to their middle-order. Cameron Green could make way for Will Jacks after failing to do well with the bat. Glenn Maxwell has not done well with the bat either and was out for a duck in the last game but has picked up 4 wickets so far. Rajat Patidar scored 29 in the last game while Anuj Rawat (11) and Dinesh Karthik (4) had poor outings.
Bowlers: Mayank Dagar, Reece Topley, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal
Yash Dayal had a good outing in the last game as he conceded 24 runs in 4 overs and picked up one wicket. Reece Topley and Mohammed Siraj picked up one wicket each as well but conceded 39 and 47 runs respectively. Mayank Dagar gave away 23 runs in 2 overs.
