“Very positive. I think he played at a good level (in Brisbane) after not playing for a long time,” Toni Nadal said. “I see him training at the academy and I think that’s it.
“I want to say he will win (French Open). Let’s see. I know it’s difficult, but I always try to think positively and hope that my nephew will win the Olympics. I hope that he will play a big role both at Roland Garros and at Roland Garros.”
There are still a few months left until Roland Garros starts. Rafael Nadal is currently focused on playing Carlos Alcaraz in a Netflix special in Las Vegas on Sunday before playing in Indian Wells next week.

In the baseline…
Rafael Nadal’s progress is uncertain at the moment, but we won’t know the level of the Spaniard’s play until he returns to the court. Intentionally or not, the upcoming exhibition match against Carlos Alcaraz should be great preparation for Nadal for the Masters 1000 event in the desert. If Nadal stays healthy and improves in time for Roland Garros, he will always be a big threat in the tournament, but there are too many unknowns to say at this point.
