After a shocking 1-1 draw with Lesotho, the Super Eagles are preparing to face Zimbabwe in their next match, reports Soccernet.ng.
West Brom defender Semi Ajayi relieved the pressure on Jose Peseiro’s side by defending his team’s goal against Lesotho.
Lesotho’s surprise lead through Motlomelo Mkhwanazi’s goal was canceled out by Ajayi in the 56th minute at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Ahead of the match against Zimbabwe, Peseiro may consider making some changes to his 4-4-2 formation. This is especially true as front lineman Taiwo Awoniyi is absent due to injury.
How might Peseiro structure his starting lineup?
Peseiro has shown confidence in Francis Uzoho as his primary goaltender and is likely to keep his place in the lineup.
The Portuguese tactician could choose to rebuild his defensive line-up, bringing in Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo and Bruno Onyemeachi to replace Bright Ossai-Samuel.
In midfield, Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka are expected to retain their positions, although Moses Simon could replace Ademola Lookman. Kelechi Iheanacho is likely to continue in that role. On the front line, Terem Moffi could join forces with Victor Boniface to replace the injured Awoniyi.
