The Super Eagles striker was brilliant for Napoli last season and was rewarded for his brilliance
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen won the Best Striker award at the AIC Oscar del Calcio awards ceremony held on Monday, Soccernet.ng reported.
Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in the world for the past two years. The 24-year-old Nigerian striker has proven to be a key asset for Napoli.
Last season, Osimhen scored 31 goals in 39 games for Partenopeas, helping them win their first Scudetto in 33 years. He also helped the team reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions for the first time in history. The former Lille player was also the first African to win the Capocannonière.
Osimhen’s talent has earned him numerous nominations, including the FIFA Best Award and the Ballon d’Or. His latest award is the AIC Oscar Del Calcio Best Striker Award.
Osimhen, along with Mike Maignan, Giovanni di Lorenzo, Min-jae Kim, Andrea Bastoni, Theo Hernández, Stanislav Lobotka, Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, Rafael Leon, and Hviča Kvaratscheria, will be joining the series. They were also selected as the team of the year. /p>
