The Sreesanth–Gautam Gambhir controversy has been the talk of the town ever since the two men clashed in the Eliminator of Legends League Cricket 2023. Here is how the entire sequence of events in the Sreesanth-Gambhir has panned out so far.
Sreesanth and Gambhir clash on the field
Eliminator of LLC 2023 saw Gambhir leading India Capitals while Sreesanth was in with the new ball for Gujarat Giants.
In the second over, Gambhir beat Sreesanth for a six and a four, after which both the players were involved in an ugly altercation that required the intervention of the field umpire.
Immediately after the match, Sreesanth claims Gambhir abused him
Gujarat Giants failed to reach the target of 224 despite Chris Gayle’s 55-ball 84. During the award ceremony immediately after the match, Sreesanth posted a video on Instagram in which he claimed that Gambhir repeatedly insulted him during the on-field altercation.
