Serbian Novak Djokovic has arrived in Australia for the United Cup as he prepares to begin his 21st season on the ATP Tour.

Djokovic will make his debut in the second United Cup alongside his Serbian teammates Olga Danilovic, Hamad Medjedovic, Natalja Stevanovic, Nikola Kacic and Dejana Radanovic.

Serbia are in the same group as China and the Czech Republic, and Djokovic spoke about his preparations for the new season after arriving in Perth.

“I haven’t been to this part of Australia (Perth) for seven, eight, nine years,” Djokovic said. “It’s going to be great weather. It’s hot as usual in the Australian summer. We’ve been trying to prepare for it in the Middle East, so we’re hoping to train for a few days and get to our desired level quickly. ”

Djokovic will begin the season against Chinese No. 1 Zhang Zhizhen on Sunday, December 31st, followed by the second match between Serbia and the Czech Republic on Tuesday, January 2nd.
