Nigerian businessman Dozie Mmobuosi will start a new soccer club in Lagos called Club 1472 after his plan to buy Sheffield United failed, Soccernet.ng reported.

Previously, Dosey was close to completing a deal to take ownership of the English club for around £115 million. However, the acquisition failed as no agreement could be reached.

The relationship between Mmobusi and Sheffield United’s current owner Prince Abdullah has deteriorated so much that the Championship team’s ownership deal is now in serious doubt, according to a report in the Daily Mail. That’s what it means.

However, the Nigerian tycoon has established a new team in Lagos called 1472 FC. This new club is expected to compete with teams like Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos.
