Michael Oraha and Stephen Eze combined to score five goals in a thrilling 4-4 draw between Son Lam Nghe An and Quang Nam in Vietnam on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reported.
Former Hapoel Tel Aviv striker Oraha scored a hat-trick and CHAN 2018 runner-up Eze scored twice as both struggling teams claimed a share of the spoils.
Both teams are without a league win after three games this season and were looking to pick up maximum points at Vinh’s 25,000-capacity San Van Dinh Stadium.
And it was Super Eagles defender Steven Eze who scored the first goal after converting the ball from a corner. Quang Nam took the lead with a header in the 6th minute.
In the 22nd minute, No. 7 Oraha took matters into his own hands, dribbling past two defenders and finishing deftly to equalize for Son Lam Nghe An.
Four minutes later, the 26-year-old striker put the home side ahead with a close-range cross from the left into the net.
This lead lasted until the final phase of the first half, when the guests equalized with a penalty.
Oraha regained the lead from Songlam Nghe An with a powerful attack two minutes into the second half.
Four minutes later, a stunning curling shot from Mai Sỹ Hoàng made it 4-2 and Son Lam Nghean moved closer to their first win in V.League 1 this season.
However, Quang Nam refused to concede defeat and after Yago halved the difference after an hour, Eze dived into the hosts’ dangerous area and completed a fine finish to make the putt 4-4.
