Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur said in the post-match press conference that he did not believe it was an ICC event and had never heard the famous song “Dil Dil Pakistan” at the stadium.
While discussing the match on Club Prairie Fire‘s podcast, former England captain Michael Vaughan humorously criticized Arthur in his post-match comments. So don’t play this song before the match. It’s obviously an inspiration to make them play well. Make sure they don’t listen to songs that give them rations. We have beaten them many times in the World Cup, but if we play with Dil Dil today, they will beat us.”
“That was smart. Most captains don’t think about DJs, music, these kinds of things. Rohit is ahead of his time,” Vaughan said derisively.
