‘Lose your temper’– Moffi breaks silence on Mbappe saga in OGC Nice vs PSG clash

Nigerian Terem Mofi has been selected in the Super Eagles squad to face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Super Eagles striker Therem Moffi has commented on his encounter with Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé during the Ligue 1 match, Soccernet.ng reported.

Both players scored two goals each in the match, but Moffi’s celebration after the away team won 3-1 infuriated Mbappé, leading to a confrontation.

The Nigerian striker’s enthusiastic celebration as he removed his shirt and held it aloft in front of the Parisian fans led to a collision with the French star, which resulted in Moffi receiving a yellow card.

In an interview with Soccernet.ng editor-in-chief Lolade Adewi, Moffi acknowledged what happened in the past and acknowledged that emotions can run high in such competitive matches.

“Yes, of course we had a good game. Whatever happened is in the past. I don’t want to talk about it, but yeah, sometimes it’s frustrating in games like this. “Strange things happen,” Moffy said.
