Karnataka Squad For Ranji Trophy 2024: Full Team List And Injury Updates

The 2023/24 Ranji Trophy will begin on January 5, 2024. Here is the Karnataka squad for Ranji Trophy 2024, including full team list and injury updates.

Karnataka (formerly Mysore) is the second best team in the history of Ranji Trophy. The team has won eight times, the second most in the tournament’s history after the 39th victory over Mumbai (formerly Bombay). Their 14 final appearances are the third-highest after Mumbai’s 47 and Bengal’s 15.

However, Karnataka has not reached the Ranji Trophy final since Vinay Kumar led them to back-to-back titles in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

Karnataka has been placed in Group C for the 2023/24 season. This time, they will play three home games: against Punjab in Hubballi from January 5, against Goa in Mysore from January 19, and against Chandigarh in Hubballi from February 16.

They will also face Gujarat in Ahmedabad from January 12, Tripura in Agartala from January 26, Railways in Surat from February 2, and Chennai from February 9. They are scheduled to play against Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka will be led by Mayank Agarwal and will feature other Indian international cricketers such as Manish Pandey and Devdutt Padikkal. KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna are likely to be part of the Indian squad for the five Test matches against England, but they are not included in the squad. Nikin Jose has been appointed as Agarwal’s deputy.

Notable dropouts include leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal (who has moved to Kerala), all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham and wicketkeeper BR Sharath. Carrunaire played in his County Championship for Northamptonshire, but it was not good enough to be recalled to the team.
