Jannik Sinner’s Australian Open victory ‘could change the tennis landscape’ claims top coach

Jannik Sinner won his first Grand Slam title last Sunday, and Rafael Nadal’s uncle and former coach says the win makes him Carlos Alcaraz’s “biggest rival”. He claimed it was confirmed.

Sinner fought back from two sets down in the Australian Open final against Daniil Medvedev last week to become the first Italian to win the singles title in Melbourne.

Toni Nadal, who is currently Félix Auger-Aliassime’s coach, expressed his concerns after the tournament. “When the game was over, I said something to the kids who called me and to her daughter, “Please comment.” Italy’s recent Davis Cup victory in Malaga touched her deeply. I did.

“I fear that this big, important step could change the landscape of tennis for years to come.”

Sinner has improved significantly in recent months playing against top-10 players, winning 12 of his last 13 matches against players such as Novak Djokovic, the aforementioned Alcaraz and Medvedev.

These improvements to Sinner’s game have led Toni Nadal to change his attitude towards the 22-year-old. “Sinner was long considered Carlos Alcaraz’s most likely rival, but he lacked the big wins to back it up.

“[Sunday] certain doubts that had affected his demeanor in what was a very exciting game were dispelled. He was the player who improved the most over the past year. There is little doubt: he has defeated virtually everyone in the top 10, including Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.”

Toni Nadal concluded: “And without a doubt, it has also been confirmed that he will be the biggest rival of our tennis player (Alcaraz) in the coming years.” The most logical thing to do is to believe that the two will become rivals from now on. Who will compete for supremacy on the world list? ”

Sinner is currently enjoying victory on his home soil, taking the Australian Open title to the Italian capital, Rome. He will next compete in his ATP 500 event in Rotterdam.

In the baseline…

Jannik Sinner has been the best player on the ATP Tour since the US Open, along with Novak Djokovic, and has actually beaten the world No. 1 three times during this period. Most people already saw that Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz would headline the sport for the next decade alongside Holger Ruhn, so Toni Nadal took this win to 100% confirm this. Interesting that I needed to see it.
