“It’s not too late” – Turkish insider says Galatasaray regrets not signing Super Eagles and Leicester City star

The Nigeria international has been exceptional for the Foxes this season but could be traded to another club once the winter is over

Turkish soccer commentator Khaldun Domachi believes Galatasaray regret not signing Wilfried Ndidi in the summer, Soccernet.ng reported.

Galatasaray were in need of a defensive midfielder in the last transfer window and were reportedly one of the clubs interested in Wilfred Ndidi.

The Yellow Reds ultimately decided on Tanguy Ndombele, who came on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Ndombele struggled to integrate into Galatasaray as the French midfielder started just two games for the Lions in the Super League.

Still, Galatasaray remain top of the Turkish division with 34 points, along with Fenerbahce.

The team has four points in Group A of the Champions League alongside Copenhagen, one more than bottom-placed Manchester United.

However, Turkish soccer official Domachi revealed that he was told that Galatasaray coach Okan Buluk wanted to sign Ndidi instead of Ndombele.

Domachi also believes that Galatasaray will try to rectify this anomaly and let Ndombele leave in the winter and bring in Ndidi to replace him.

According to reporter Herb Sarikiyirmizi, Domac said, “The person who made Okan Buruk regret at Galatasaray is leaving and someone who will make him happy is coming in. Okan Buruk thinks Ndombele is not good enough. ” he is said to have said.

“There are three names on the list: Tottenham’s Rodrygo Bentancur, Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and Wilfred Ndidi.

“Okan Buruk has occasionally expressed regret about Ndidi. “If we had bought Ndidi instead of Ndombele, we would have been in a very different place.”

“But it’s not too late. Galatasaray would like to move him from Leicester City if possible at half-time.”

Ndidi is extremely important to Leicester City as the Foxes are one of the early candidates for promotion to the Premier League.
