Last night, news broke that PFL had acquired Bellator, causing a stir in the martial arts world. Two of the UFC’s biggest rivals come together to try to take over MMA’s top promotion. So, following the acquisition news, let’s compare UFC’s net worth to PFL’s net worth to find out which one is higher.

When you consider fame, popularity, and viewership, the UFC is by far the largest MMA promotion in the world. Additionally, UFC holding group Endeavor also recently acquired WWE to expand its portfolio. Here’s what happened after PFL made its own acquisition.
Asset comparison of PFL and UFC after Bellator acquisition
The UFC and WWE merger is reportedly worth more than $9 billion. The amount exceeded $11 billion. However, after the acquisition of WWE, its value slightly decreased to $9 billion. However, this is still a huge net worth. But that’s not surprising considering the UFC is the world’s leading MMA promotion.
PFL is reportedly worth $500 million. However, this valuation predates the acquisition of Bellator. According to other reports, Bellator was worth $200 million in 2023. Therefore, this acquisition deal means that PFL is valued at nearly $1 billion.
However, despite the acquisition, the PFL remains far removed from the UFC financially. However, the PFL attempts to compete with the UFC on other fronts such as viewership, prestige, and entertainment.
The debut of Francis Ngannou and possible MMA debut of Jake Paul early next year could go a long way in helping the PFL compete with the UFC. Additionally, given the direction they’re headed, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them competing with the UFC financially in the coming years.
What do you think about these numbers? Do you think the acquisition of Bellator will help the PFL compete with the UFC in the future?
