The BCCI have announced a host of updates to the India A squad that will face South Africa A in a four-day unofficial ‘Test’ in Benoni.
India A is currently on a tour to South Africa accompanying the senior men’s team who are in the midst of an all-format series against the same opponents.
India A have already played a four-day unofficial ‘test’ against South Africa A, which ended in a draw, with a second Test at Benoni alongside the Senior Boxing Day Test on 26 December. We will be competing against each other again. .
After the first unofficial Test, two senior white ball series and three days of intra-squad warm-up matches, some changes have been made to the India A team for the second four-day match .
Kuldeep Yadav, who was originally included in the squad for the second match, was absent while seamer Harshit Rana missed the match with a hamstring injury.
Avesh Khan, who impressed in the recent ODI series against South Africa, has been included in the India A team as a replacement for Rana, along with three other batsmen.
Rajat Patidar, who made his international debut in the 3rd ODI against South Africa, Sarfaraz Khan, who scored a 63-ball hundred in the recent three-day intra-squad practice match, and Rinku Singh India T20I team The mainstay batsman has been selected in the India A squad for the second four-day match against South Africa A.
