India will begin their World Cup campaign with a practice match against England at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The match will begin at 2pm local time and will be the first warm-up match for both teams.
England will play Bangladesh at the same venue later on October 2nd, while India will take on Netherlands at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, October 3rd.
India made a last-minute change to their squad, including R Ashwin in place of Axar Patel in the 15-man group. Ashwin has played just four ODIs in the last six years, but his off-spin brings variety to the spin attack while Axar has been hit by injuries.
However, England initially ignored Harry Brook, but then selected him, while Jason Roy was not selected.
