The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced three new inductees to the ICC Hall of Fame forming the Class of 2023, today (November 13).
The ICC Hall of Fame is an elite group of international cricketers who have contributed to the sport on and off the field, with new members joining each year. This year, three legends of the game were added to the roster, bringing his total to 112 members.
The three ICC Hall of Fame inductees who make up the Class of 2023 are India’s Virender Sehwag and Diana Edulji, and Sri Lanka’s Aravinda de Silva.
The selection was made through a voting process involving existing ICC Hall of Fame inductees, media representatives, and senior executives from the International Cricket Federation (FICA) and the ICC.
Sefag has scored over 8,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs and played a key role in India’s victory in the 2011 World Cup, scoring 380 runs in the tournament. Diana Edulji is the first Indian cricketer to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
