The off-spinner took four wickets in the first innings, becoming the team’s top wicket-taker. He also picked up the important wicket of KL Rahul in the second innings. In the recent encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Ben Stokes’ side won by 28 runs.
Ahead of the second Test, England captain Ben Stokes jokingly claimed that he was the one who made Joe Root a bowler, adding that he was a great addition to his batting skills for the team. He emphasized the importance of Root’s bowling skills. p>
