Nick Kyrgios: I don’t really want to play any more to be honest
Nick Kyrgios has admitted he is “tired” after an injury-hit season and declared he only wants to play another year or two.
Kyrgios only played one match for Stuttgart in 2023, where he lost in straight sets to Wu Yibin, before missing the rest of the season with a wrist injury.

The 28-year-old missed the start of the season with a cyst caused by a torn lateral meniscus and later underwent arthroscopic surgery.
And after confirming he will miss next year’s home tournament, the Australian Open, Kyrgios spoke on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast about how he feels about his career.
“If it were up to me, I honestly don’t want to play anymore,” Kyrgios revealed. “I have to (keep playing). There are still many things I want to do, but I don’t feel like playing anymore.”
He continued: He has now undergone three surgeries. I’m only 28 years old, but I’ve always wanted to start a family and not have to suffer. It hurts when I stand up and I can’t walk. It’s a tough job. ”
Kyrgios has completely disappeared from the rankings due to his inactivity on the ATP Tour and is considering how he wants to end his career.
“I want to play for another year or two, get to the top and meet my standards,” said the 2022 Wimbledon finalist. I think she still has a chance to last a year or two, but that’s it.
“I think I’ll be happy with everything I’ve accomplished. I have to say this to people who want me to play more: ‘It’s okay if I don’t play anymore.'”
