How Kelechi Iheancho inspired my first goal for Leicester– Fatawu

Isahak Fatau joined Leicester City on loan from Sporting CP during the summer transfer window.

Ghanaian striker Issahak Fatau’s debut goal for Leicester was inspired by Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Soccernet.ng reported.

When the EFL Championship resumed, Leicester recorded an impressive 3-1 win against Swansea City.

Fatau, who is on loan from Sporting CP, scored his first goal for Leicester and paid tribute to his inspiration Iheanacho.

In this match, Matt Grimes scored Swansea’s first goal in the first half, but Jannik Westergaard converted a chance from the left to score and level the score.

Fatau opened the scoring in the second half, capitalizing on a pass from Keenan Dewsbury-Hall to put Leicester ahead.

Following Fatau’s goal, Nigeria international Iheanacho extended the visitors’ lead with a goal made possible from a pass from Wilfred Ndidi. Iheanacho broke through the Swansea defense and scored past Carl Rushworth.

Leicester’s victory puts them in a good position for a return to the English Premier League, five points ahead of Ipswich, who still have a game in hand.
