Ademola Lookman was one of Nigeria’s best players in Ivory Coast, but former Leeds manager Jesse Marsh has some funny memories of him from his early days
Former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsh has named Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman as one of the players who had a bad experience training under himSoccernet.ng Thereported.
Lookman was undoubtedly one of the best players at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. He scored his three goals and recorded one assist to lead his super Eagles to his second place in the tournament.
The Nigerian star is currently enjoying a successful season at Atalanta, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 23 games in all competitions. Lookman is now one of Giampero Gasperini’s trusted lieutenants.
However, the results were not always good. Lookman was a journeyman before joining Atalanta two years ago. The 26-year-old attacker played for Everton, Fulham, Leicester City and RB Leipzig before moving to Atalanta.
In one of his positions at RB Leipzig, Lookman was coached by American Marsh. In a recent interview on CBS Sports Golazo, Marsh revealed that Lookman was one of the few players he coached who stunk in practice.
