Nathan Tella recently received his first call-up to don the colors of Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Tella secured his first call-up to the national team following his impressive performance for Leverkusen as Nigeria take on Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, after the match against Union Berlin, Alonso praised Tela’s qualities and hinted at how he can contribute effectively to the Super Eagles under Peseiro’s leadership.

Tella is preparing for his first international appearance against three-time African Cup winners Warriors and Crocodiles and is hoping to transfer his club form to the national team.
