Full List Of Players Retained By Each Team Ahead Of LLC 2023 Draft

The Legends League Cricket T20s will step into its second edition in 2023. Here is the list of retained players of all the teams ahead of the LLC 2023 auction.

The much-awaited T20 tournament featuring retired players will be held from November 18 to December 9. 19 epic duels will be held across five Indian cities: Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag and Surat. His 200 cricketers from 12 countries will compete in the next auction.

Martin Guptill, who previously waived his contract to represent New Zealand, will be making a bid for the first time. Australian duo Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh are also among the players making their debut in the franchise league. Retired world T20 players such as Kevin Pietersen, Nuwan Kulasekara, Morne Morkel and Xavier Doherty are also expected to participate in the draft.

Retention guidelines state that each team can retain up to three players. In addition, the two new teams can take up to three names from the player pool. The final rule provides that teams that retain fewer than three players can fill their quotas from the pool after new teams acquire players.

The four participating teams (India Capitals, Bhilwara Kings, Gujarat Giants and Manipal Tigers) have announced their remaining rosters ahead of the auction. Current defending champions India Capitals have retained captain Gautam Gambhir, Ashley Nurse and wrist-spinner Pravin Tambe, last season’s top wicket-taker. Meanwhile, Bhilwara Kings, who finished runners-up in the 2022 tournament, retained captain Irfan Parsan as well as star players such as Yusuf Parsan and Shane Watson. The two new franchises will announce pre-auction deals ahead of the auction.
