The match officials for the International League T20 season 2 have been announced: here’s the full list of umpires and match referees who will be officiating in the ILT20 2024.

The upcoming edition of the ILT20, UAE’s top-flight franchise-based T20 tournament, will be played between January 19 and February 17. More than 100 international cricketers alongside 25 UAE players will grace the month-long event. Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah will host all the 34 encounters.

Like last season, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriors are the six participating sides.

The organisers have named an eminent panel of match officials led by legendary Simon Taufel and Aleem Dar. While Taufel is set to embark on his second straight season, Dar, who holds the record of officiating the most number of international matches across formats (446), will make his tournament debut.

The duo will stand as onfield umpires in the 2024 tournament opener between titleholders Gulf Giants and Sharjah Warriors on January 19 in Sharjah. After the curtain-raiser match, Taufel will join the likes of Roshan Mahanama and Steve Bernard to be one of the match referees for the rest of the competition.

Apart from them, ICC Elite Panel’s Adrian Holdstock of South Africa and Australia’s Rod Tucker will join Sri Lanka’s Ruchira Palliyaguruge, England’s Martin Saggers, Leslie Reifer of West Indies and Australia’s Paul Wilson to officiate the tournament.
