New Zealand Women will host Pakistan Women for an ODI series from December 12. Here’s everything you need to know about the schedule, including the full fixture list of the NZ-W vs PAK-W ODIs.
Pakistan Women achieved their first T20I series win against New Zealand with a scoreline of 2-1 in a historic performance. This was as fiery pacer Fatima Sana made a dream comeback from injury to shake up the opposition’s top order with 3-18. Winning her first T20I, she took 3-22 in the second game to seal the series victory.
With the focus now on the ODI leg of the tour, Nida Dar’s side will be eyeing a chance to pull off another upset.
The first of the three ODI series will be played at John Davis Oval in Queenstown on 12 December, followed by the second match on 15 December and Hagley in Christchurch on 18 December. The final match will be played at the Oval.
This series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship from 2022 to 2025 and will determine automatic qualification to the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. The top 10 teams in the ODI rankings will play an eight-match three-match ODI series (four home and four away) within a set period, after which the top five teams and the host will qualify for the tournament. The rest will have to go through the Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
