Failure of Virat, Rohit against Pakistan is the best thing to happen to Team India: Salman Butt

Former Pakistani captain Salman Bhatt said the early dismissal of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in India’s match against Pakistan in the Asian Cup on September 2 was actually a boon for the Indian side. I think it was This crucial matchup was his 14th matchup in the Asian Cup, with India holding his 7–5 lead against Pakistan.

Saturday’s game gave the Indian team a big challenge, especially early on. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were immediately brought back to the pavilion by Shaheen Shah Afridi. Sharma scored just 11 runs on his 22 balls, while Kohli contributed just four.

Despite this shaky start, India managed to bounce back thanks to Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandia. Kishan, who was briefly ranked fifth until KL Rahul joined the team, played exceptionally well and sparked controversy over his suitability for the role. He had a staggering 82 RBIs on 81 pitches. Pandya also put his batting skills to the test, scoring 87 points on 90 pitches and contributing to the team as a whole. Through partnerships, India broke his 200-run mark in 40 overs.

The Indians’ innings ultimately ended with a total of 266 innings. Despite an early setback due to the loss of a key player, the team showed resilience and determination to achieve a commendable innings total.

As I said before, apart from a couple of players, (Indian teams) lack experience in such a strong game. The best thing that happened to India is , with the early release of the main players (Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli) and the return of the younger players. We have reached a reasonable amount,” Salman Bhatt said on his YouTube channel.
