Ola Aina played 45 minutes in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe and six minutes against Lesotho.
Super Eagles full-back Ola Aina has been nominated for Nottingham Forest’s Goal of the Month award for his long-range goal against Aston Villa, reports Soccernet.ng .
Aina, 27, moved to Nottingham on a free transfer after his contract with Italian club Torino expired last summer and was a regular for the Reds, playing at right-back and left-back.
The former Fulham defender also won Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month award in September, and now his goal has been nominated for the Goal of the Month award.
Aina’s goal was celebrated in Yakubu Aiyegbeni style and was pure class. A pass from Anthony Elanga deflected the Nigerian just outside the penalty area and he side-footed a shot into the bottom corner of Emiliano Martinez’s goal.
