Dessers reveals changes that former Monaco boss Clement has made at Rangers

Clement took charge of his first game at Ibrox and Dessers ensured he got off to a good start

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has revealed that new Rangers manager Philippe Clement has demanded more aggression and energy from him and his teammates, reports Soccernet I am reporting.

The Rangers have had a difficult season this season. The club sacked Michael Beale just one year into his role after he recorded nine wins in 16 games in all competitions.

After Mr. Ger’s dismissal, he appointed former Monaco coach Seremento as his successor. The Frenchman joined the club just before the international break, where he made a strong impression.

Clement’s first game as manager was a convincing win against Hibernian on Saturday. Rangers defeated the visiting team 4–0 thanks to goals from Dessers, Abdallah Sima and Nicholas Raskin. It was a convincing performance from the former Scottish champion at Ibrox Stadium. And for Dessers, he finally managed to get rid of Sal after scoring just his one goal in seven league matches.

After the game, Dessers shared what Clement said to lead him and his teammates to victory.

β€œHe (Clement) wants us to play with energy, to press high, to press high, to go forward, to play aggressively. I’m here,” Desser told Rangers TV.

“We showed some of that today, but we still have room to grow.” And I’m confident we’ll grow and become a team that’s hard to stop. ”

Rangers’ next game is against Sparta Prague in the Europa League. Dessers will be hoping to score again and win the trust of his new manager, with Danilo and Sam Lammers posing serious threats to his place in the starting XI.
