All 10 IPL teams announced the list of retained and released players on November 26. In addition to the expected retentions and layoffs, there were also some unexpected high-profile dismissals, including Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer and Lockie Ferguson.

Where will the IPL 2024 auction be held?

IPL 2024 Auction will be held at Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai. Last year’s mini auction was held in Kochi and the mega auction ahead of IPL 2022 was held in Bangalore.

When is the IPL 2024 auction?

The IPL 2024 auction will be held on December 19, the same day that the Indian senior men’s team will play an ODI against South Africa in Gukebela.

Although the holding period has passed, the trading window is still open and will close one week before the auction, i.e. on December 12th. This means there is still a chance for some to change teams before the auction.

The funding for each team has been increased from Rs 9.5 billion to Rs 10 billion. Depending on whether further trades are made, each team’s remaining purse will be adjusted accordingly before the auction.
